Regattas in Mallorca

The Copa del Rey is probably the most famous regatta in Mallorca, and takes place in the Bay of Palma from the 29th of July to the 5th of August. Sailing teams from more than 20 countries take part, including the King of Spain, Felipe VI who, alongside security, will be among the participants. Those who wish to experience the regatta first hand should head to the Club Náutico de Palma. Another classic is the Trofeo Princesa Sofía. This quintessential Mallorcan sailing event is the traditional regatta that takes place at the Club Náutico S’Arenal. During the four days of the Gran Día de la Vela at the end of August, you can enjoy a regatta in Mallorca featuring the following classes: Optimist, Laser, Bic Techno 293, Musto Skiff or Snipe, setting sail into the wind.
