The ever-popular and well-supported TUI Marathon comes round again in Palma
Mallorca’s cooled down a bit now, and once again it’s the perfect place for sporting events of every kind. One of the best-known fixtures is the TUI Marathon, a long-distance race whose route takes in the Mallorcan capital city’s most famous landmarks.
The main day of the 11th Marathon is taking place on Monday 19th October. Three further disciplines are also taking place: the half-marathon, the 10-kilometre run and the Walking/Nordic Walking event.
The luxury route makes this race a** matchless event**. The TUI Marathon Palma starts off in the Parc de la Mar, opposite the Cathedral. It will run through the old town and all along Palma Bay, from s’Arenal, very close to the Pabisa Hotels, to Portopí, providing lovely open views of the sea.
Children will also have an opportunity to enjoy the event. On Saturday the 18th they’ll have their own race, the Kids Run, which is free to enter.
In addition to the races, from the 17th to the 19th the participants will be able to visit the TUI Market, which will stock the latest running kit; and on the Saturday, from 14:00 to 18:00 hours (two to six p.m.), the Pasta Party will be held in the Parc de la Mar. This is an additional service that participants will be able to book during registration.
Pabisa Hotels, being very close and accessible to the race location, and being a sporthotel with facilities designed specifically for lovers of exercise, is a perfect option for participants in the TUI Marathon Mallorca. You’ll be able to continue your pre-race training in the gym, and the spa and wellness suite will be the perfect place to soak your muscles after the exhilaration of the big day.
If you’d like to participate in one of the four disciplines you can do so easily using the online registration or by post up until 3rd October.
For further information we recommend you visit the organizer’s website.
Over 11,000 runners of 70 different nationalities will be taking part in this event. You wouldn’t want to miss it, would you?
