DID YOU KNOW…?
● Commitment to cycling: Pabisa Hotels maintains a firm commitment to sport, and especially to cycling, supporting events such as the Winter in Majorca Challenge promoted by Tomeu Bestard, president of the El Arenal Cycle Club and also by adapting their hotel facilities and services to cater for clients who are cyclists, whether they be amateurs or professionals.
● Pabisa Bikes and Max Huerzeler: Pabisa Hotels have joined forces with the best possible partner: Bicycle Holidays, and its founder and world champion, Max Huerzeler. In the grounds of the Pabisa Bali hotel we have an entire Pabisa Bike Station, accessed from the main road, Fra Joan Llabrés. The bike station provides bike hire, a garage, workshop, bike-wash, accessory shop and nutrition for cyclists.
● Special packages for cyclists: We have specially designed packages for cycle tourists staying at the Pabisa Bali, Pabisa Sofía, Pabisa Chico hotels and the Pabisa Orlando apartments. The packages include assistance from the Bicycle Holidays team, use of the workshop, a picnic for excursions, cycle map, water bottle, tools, bike-wash and numbered storage hanger with bicycle lock.
● Menus and special picnics: We know how important it is that an athlete receives the correct nutrition before, during and after cycling, and so our hotels offer special menus adapted to meet the needs of our cyclists and we also prepare picnics with drinks, a sandwich and fruit for excursions.
● The Pabisa Hotels Gran Prix, the third and last stage of the Winter in Majorca Challenge has been held since 2012 between the municipalities of Palma, Llucmajor and Campos, with the start and finish line at the hotel Pabisa Sofía in Arenal. This February 2018 saw over 180 competitors, 63 of them from abroad, who took part in the race in the Junior and Open categories.
● Prizes 2018: After completing the 119 kilometres of the trial, thirty of the participants received a cash prize for having arrived in the leading positions, and the three best competitors in each category also received a trophy, presented by the manager of the Pabisa Sofía hotel, Pau Julià, and head of reception Nicole Planner. Awards were also presented at the Pabisa Sofía hotel to the best classified competitors overall in the Winter in Majorca Challenge, whose previous stages were held in Cala Millor and Manacor.
