Discover Palma’s nightlife
Palma de Mallorca is a thrilling, cosmopolitan city with lots going on at every hour of the day and night. And whether you’ve had a hectic day shopping or exploring the city’s major monuments, we recommend taking a break from your busy schedule to discover Palma by night.
Apart from the countless bars, clubs and nightclubs, another great thing about a night out in Palma is that all the trendiest nightlife areas are close to one another. Here we’ve come up with some of our favourite spots to guarantee you’ll have a great time partying on holiday in Majorca.
On the Sea Promenade, lovers of live music will be in their element in any of these three bars – Hogans, Three Lions or Shamrock. Local and visiting bands rock their evenings, while you relax over a drink or delicious dinner in the best company.
Nearby, in the Santa Catalina district, you’ll find myriad bars and clubs offering the cosmopolitan and multicultural atmosphere that characterises what has become known as Majorca’s Soho. Don’t forget to call in at the Havanna Bar, a coffee shop during the day and a lively bar in the evening. Bar Soho is another must on your route, with its eye-catching décor and fabulous sounds.
Back on the Sea Promenade and not far from the port is the Can Barbará Quay, another of Palma’s top nightlife areas packed with bars including Garito Café, a classic on Palma’s nightlife scene since the 1970s.
If you’re looking for a quieter bar and an exclusive setting in which to savour a delicious cocktail, then we recommend you head for the city centre. A glass of wine at Es Baluard Restaurant and Lounge, the bar next to the city’s Contemporary Art Museum, or the gin and tonic of the day at Bar Ginbo is always a good idea. Alternatively, take your pick from the amazing choice of cocktails Palma has to offer: currently top of the style stakes are the Brass Club and the Weyler.
Remember that our reception staff will be delighted to answer any queries you may have or book a taxi to take you from our hotels in Playa de Palma to the city centre in less than 10 minutes at a very affordable price.
