We start from S’Arenal and head towards the South of the island, passing Puigderrós and Tolleric, from where we will take an inner highway to Ses Salines. This circular route has a total distance of 91,2 km with several terrain variations mainly in the stretch from Puigderrós to Tolleric and the area of Llucmajor on your way back.
- Arenal – Cura Sanctuary – ArenalFor everyone staying in Playa de Palma and S’Arenal visiting the Cura Sanctuary is, without a doubt, a must. At Pabisa we recommend you to include this must-visit during your stay in Mallorca as a destination of a cycling route. The Cura Sanctuary is surrounded by favourable ground, but this route is still qualified as difficult due to the total distance of 110 km and the unevenness you’ll find on the way. This cycling route consists mainly of highways that will take you to Campos. Once you’re there you will begin to add meters of positive slope to Randa, the little village where the ascent to Cura begins, which is the most difficult stretch of this route. The way back to S’Arenal is almost always uneven in your favour, except for the steep slopes between Porreres and Llucmajor, which makes the return less heavy than the going.
- Arenal – Sant Salvador – Arenal
One of the big advantages of staying at Pabisa Hotels in S’Arenal is that we have easy and quick access to both, rises to the Tramuntana mountain range, as well as the Majorcan East. This is why to wrap up our recommendation of the best cycling routes near S’Arenal, we will visit the most representative are of the Majorcan ‘Levante’, Sant Salvador. Our last cycling route has the peculiarity that we will chose service roads, so there is practically no traffic at all. Due to the hardness of the climb to Puig de Sant Salvador, this route qualifies as difficult, but the views once you’re at the top will compensate all the effort. With a total distance of 108 km, this route is the perfect choice to end a cycling experience on the island.
